New 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Book Tells Story From Christian's Perspective
There are two sides to every kinky sex story, and Christian Grey is about to share his two cents in a new book called "Grey." Author E.L. James is releasing a special version of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" story, written from Christian's perspective, on June 18, which is also the character's birthday.
The original "Fifty Shades of Grey" -- which was adapted into a moving starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan -- is from the perspective of Anastasia Steele. Author E.L. James issue a statement on the new book (via Variety):
Christian is a complex character and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations, and his troubled past. Also, as anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows, there are two sides to every story. It's been a great pleasure to return to my happy place-writing, being with Christian and Ana in their universe, and working with the fantastic team at Vintage."
She also shared a look at the book cover on Instagram:
The "Fifty Shades" trilogy has sold 125 million copies worldwide. The second movie, "Fifty Shades Darker," is scheduled for a February 10, 2017 release. The third movie, "Fifty Shades Freed," is scheduled for February 9, 2018. No word on whether they'd make a movie from "Grey" but probably not ... right? Would it be too repetitive or be even more enticing than seeing things from Ana's view?
