Some might say it's too soon to joke about the "Roseanne" cancellation, but those people don't run the Netflix Twitter account.

Like the rest of pop culture-loving America, Netflix employees witnessed the controversy Roseanne Barr inspired with a series of offensive tweets on Tuesday, including a racist post targeting former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett that ultimately led ABC to cancel the revived series. While many fans were mourning the loss of the show, at least one person at Netflix saw an opportunity.

"Reminder: @OneDayAtATime is a sitcom about a tight-knit, working class family that tackles extremely topical social issues in a smart and innovative way," came a tweet from Netflix. "Ya know, if you're suddenly looking for a show like that..."

Yep, Netflix went there. The streamer's savage joke clearly alludes to the cancellation while managing to promote a Netflix original. It's harsh considering the many jobs that were lost, but it does make a good point. The truth is, many people out there probably are looking for such a show now, and "One Day at a Time" is streaming on Netflix now, whereas even "Roseanne" reruns have been pulled from multiple outlets.
