Netflix Confirms 'Arrested Development' Season 5 for 2018
There's still money in the banana stand! Netflix has officially given the green light to "Arrested Development" Season 5, for a 2018 debut, including the entire main cast -- Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, Portia de Rossi, David Cross, and Alia Shawkat.

Jason Bateman hinted to this good news last week when he tweeted about his return:
Look very probable I'm going to put some miles on the Stair Car this summer. Just officially signed on to more ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT today.

Here's a statement from series creator Mitchell Hurwitz (via TVLine):
"In talks with Netflix we all felt that that stories about a narcissistic, erratically behaving family in the building business — and their desperate abuses of power — are really underrepresented on TV these days. I am so grateful to them and to 20th TV for making this dream of mine come true in bringing the Bluths, George Sr., Lucille and the kids; Michael, Ivanka, Don Jr., Eric, George-Michael, and who am I forgetting, oh Tiffany. Did I say Tiffany? — back to the glorious stream of life."
Her?
Last we heard, Season 5 was rumored to begin shooting in June. They were considering a mix of old and new actors -- with the new actors playing younger versions of the Bluths, to compensate for the main stars who will need to be away at some points for other projects (like Tony Hale on HBO's "Veep"). Hopefully, whatever format they found works better than Season 4.
