Netflix's "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" is introducing new versions of characters seen before, but we don't have to wait till its premiere to meet Salem the cat.

The streaming service released a clip on Thursday, Oct. 11 called "Salem Appears." It shows teen witch Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka) getting an unexpected visit from the black cat. Salem is a familiar, meaning he's a demon that takes the form of an animal and attends a witch, but it's still a pretty creepy encounter. If we were in her shoes, picking up the cat is probably the last thing we'd do.

Based on the "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" comics, the series follows the title character as she reaches a pivotal stage in her life and is pulled between her mortal and supernatural sides. Led by Shipka, the cast also includes Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Chance Perdomo, Jaz Sinclair, Richard Coyle, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Abigail Cowen, Lachlan Watson, and Bronson Pinchot.

"Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" premieres Oct. 26 on Netflix.
