Netflix Unveils 'American Vandal' Season 2 Trailer, Premiere Date
Who is the Turd Burglar?
That's the central mystery of "American Vandal" Season 2, Netflix's Emmy-nominated mockumentary that plays off true crime shows like "Making a Murderer" and "The Staircase."
In addition to releasing a trailer, Netflix announced the second season's premiere date: September 14.
The season follows documentarians Peter Maldonado (Tyler Alvarez) and Sam Ecklund (Griffin Gluck) as they head to an elite Catholic high school to investigate who spiked the lemonade at the cafeteria with laxatives — causing dozens of students to poop uncontrollably. The incident is known as "The Brown Out."
Having solved Season 1's mystery of who drew a bunch of penises on teachers' cars at their own school, Peter and Sam are now internet famous. But can they crack this case? As one student notes, "It's poop, but it goes a lot deeper than that."
The trailer is as dryly and slyly funny as Season 1, though you may want to watch it when you're not eating.
