Expect to See More Stan Lee Cameos in Upcoming Marvel Flicks
Stan Lee may be the creator of superheroes, but it sounds like he may also be one himself. The comic book legend recently filmed four Marvel cameos in one day -- at age 93.
The MCU has a long history of paying homage to Lee, one of its pioneers, by inserting him into Marvel projects. Not only has he appeared in numerous live-action films from the production company, he has also popped up in its TV series and lent his voice to its animated projects over the years. You never know when you'll see Lee onscreen -- he could be saving a child, delivering mail, or selling hot dogs.
His most recent set of cameos required him to travel down to Georgia, reports the Los Angeles Times. There, he cranked out each one for a different project, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed during a Q&A session.
Apparently, they all turned out great -- the fantastic four of cameos, if you will. "[Lee] was unbelievable," said Feige. "He was on fire. He came in, he sat here, he stood there, he stood in this window, and then he went home."
While Feige's description of Lee's work might not sound overly taxing, let us remember, again, that he is 93 years old. It's pretty impressive that he is still traveling around the country for the sake of fun but not necessarily essential Marvel film appearances.
Feige did not reveal in which movies the cameos will appear, but we do know that the next four Marvel films to hit theaters will be "Doctor Strange" on Nov. 4, 2016, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" on May 5, 2017, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" on July 7, 2017, and "Thor: Ranarok" on Nov. 3, 2017. Keep a lookout for Lee.
