Matt Damon Rips on Astronauts in Deleted 'The Martian' Clip
Apparently there wasn't enough screen time to include all of Matt Damon's best bits in "The Martian,"
but at least there should be room for a deleted scenes reel when the sci-fi flick lands on DVD/Blu-ray.
One of the gems that didn't make its way to the big screens was released Friday, showing Damon's astronaut character Mark Watney firing off some funny lines while speaking to a NASA camera.
Left to fend for himself on Mars after his cohorts leave him behind during a disaster on the red planet, he bashes some of his cohorts while recording for the ship's camera log.
"Martinez — I'm still not sure what it is that you do," Watney says about Michael Peña's character. "Honest to God, I really couldn't tell you, I don't know why we brought you. That's it."
“The Martian,” which also stars Kate Mara, Kristen Wiig, Jessica Chastain, Donald Glover and Chiwetel Ejiofor, hits theaters Oct. 2.
