Fans are still divided about the (likely, though still unconfirmed) decision to kill off Meryl Streep's character in upcoming sequel "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again." But one thing's for sure: Lily James, who plays a younger version of Streep's Donna, can sing.

Now, moviegoers have their first look at the opening musical number from the new flick, featuring Donna belting out the ABBA tune "When I Kissed the Teacher" while giving a speech at her college graduation. We already knew James had a lovely voice, thanks to her singing in previous flicks like "Cinderella" and "Baby Driver." Here, we see that not only can the actress easily carry an entire number, but she can also dance her butt off, too.

The joyous clip -- featuring an early version of girl gang Donna and the Dynamos, complete with awesome jumpsuits and platform boots -- makes it clear that this follow-up is trying to be just as fun as the first film. While 2008's "Mamma Mia!" focused on the present, the sequel will split time with the past, too, focusing on James's Donna when she was the same age as Sophie (Amanda Seyfried), who is now pregnant.

We'll have to wait for the film's debut to know for sure if Meryl's Donna is still with us, but we're eager to see more from James's version now, too. "Mamma Mia! Her We Go Again" opens on July 20.
