Kristen Bell and Her 'Side Piece' are 'Safe and Sound' After Hurricane Irma
If you follow Kristen Bell on social media, you know that she's currently stranded in Orlando, Florida, where she was shooting a movie before Hurricane Irma hit last weekend. Bell took shelter a Disney hotel (and helped evacuate costar Josh Gad's family, too), and has since been hunkering down alongside a group of senior citizens. It's been a tense few days, but as the actress revealed in a recent video chat with Jimmy Kimmel, everyone is having a surprising amount of fun.
Bell called into "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Monday night to talk about her extended stay at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort, where all evacuees are "safe and sound," she said. While it hasn't exactly been the typical Disney vacation, the actress said the group has "been making the most of a crazy situation" by singing Disney tunes, playing plenty of Bingo, and even staging some wheelchair races.
The actress sang the praises of hotel staff, including an employee named Gary, who she dubbed "the main man" that's been taking care of everyone at the resort. But Bell saved a special shout-out for John, a WWII veteran who's already warmed our hearts via a video the actress posted to Instagram, in which she declared he was her "side piece."
In the call to Kimmel, John played the part beautifully, noting that it wasn't just Bell whose attention he'd grabbed this weekend.
"I'm swarmed under with beautiful women," he told the host. "I'll never be the same."
Excuse us, we've got a case of the warm and fuzzies to tend to.
