Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West are expecting their third child, and due to Kardashian's difficult pregnancies, the couple has hired a surrogate, according to People.

A source told the outlet, "The entire family is over the moon. Kim had been looking for a surrogate for months until recently when she found the perfect candidate.

"Given her health scares in the past, Kim felt the need to hire a surrogacy agency that helped serve as the liaison in finding a healthy woman who would be a great surrogate option for her and Kanye. Both of them have been super involved in the process."

The 36-year-old reality star has been open about suffering from placenta accreta during her first two pregnancies, with 4-year-old daughter North and nearly 2-year-old son Saint.

On "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," she told her mother, Kris Jenner, "I've come to the conclusion in my mind that I can't carry another one. So now I want to explore surrogacy."
