Keanu Reeves: A Playful, Lively and Fun Interview

The first time I finally got to interview Keanu Reeves was last year for the hit film "John Wick." Going in, I had high expectations after hearing about how he rarely does sit-down interviews. It was a solid interview, but I wouldn’t rank it among my best.
But talking with Keanu for his thriller "Knock Knock" was a completely different story!
Before my interview, he actually came out to the hallway and asked me if he could be excused to use the restroom. I jokingly said, “No!” to which he responded, in a playful manner, “Please?” A few minutes later, as we sat down across from each other to start our interview, he mentioned he’s currently in jiu-jitsu and martial arts training for an upcoming unnamed film ("John Wick 2," perhaps?). For the remainder of our interview, Keanu was so playful, lively and most of all--fun!
Following the interview, I asked for a photo of us together for social media. His publicist declined, but after I had walked out of the door I heard him say out loud, “Why don’t you want me to take any pictures?” with an underlying tone of genuine confusion. Then, this happened …

I now truly believe that Keanu Reeves is one of the nicest guys in Hollywood!
I also have to say, despite the 51-year-old being in an older generation, I’m shocked at how great his fan base is on social media! The actor doesn’t have his own accounts, but after tweeting about him I’ve gotten a lot of feedback from his fans who are all so nice! Thanks, Keanu fans!
