John Adedayo Abegoyega was born on March 17, 1992, in Peckham, London.
2. The Beginning
At the early age of five, Boyega took to the stage for the first time in a school play where he played a leopard.
3. Recruited
When he was nine, Boyega was noticed in a school play by Teresa Early, the director of Theatre Packham, a theater and education program for young, south London residents. Boyega was enrolled in the program where he stayed until he was 14.
4. Worth a Shot
Boyega appeared in the 2011 sci-fi film, “Attack the Block.” How did he get the role? He found the casting call online.

Boyega has been vocal in the past about his first trips to the United States, where he fell in love... with McDonalds.
