Jeremy Renner Won't Be In 'Mission: Impossible 6'
It's hard to juggle two or three major franchises, which means Jeremy Renner's commitment to Marvel is nixing his return to "Mission: Impossible," according to Showbiz411.
Renner is shooting "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Ant-Man and the Wasp" back-to-back and there's just no room for the Tom Cruise spy franchise at this point.
This is likely why Henry Cavill (who's got his own mega-franchise commitment) was announced for the sixth "Mission" film, which will be directed by Christopher McQuarrie.
Renner played William Brandt in 2015's "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" and 2011's "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol."
The two-time Oscar nominee also has "Wind River," the new film from "Hell or High Water" director Taylor Sheridan coming out this August.
As for that sequel to "The Bourne Legacy"? It's probably not happening.
