Jennifer Lawrence Adorably Explains Her H2O Tattoo Mistake
Jennifer Lawrence, who tripped and fell into our hearts at the 2013 Oscars, is charming fans all over again with another embarrassing-yet-relatable mistake, this time centered around her first-ever tattoo.
Lawrence explained her new ink in an interview with HitFix at Comic-Con last week, telling the site that her intentions for the tat began innocently enough. She was hanging out with her "Hunger Games" co-star Liam Hemsworth and his family, when everyone decided to get tattoos. Not wanting to be left out, Lawrence opted for something small on her hand.
But as the actress tells it, her idea for a subtle bit of ink didn't exactly go as planned. Lawrence said that she settled on getting the chemical formula for water, H2O, inked on her hand in a scar-colored shade, because "I'm always going to need to be hydrated." Unfortunately, the finished product ended up with an incorrect placement of the 2 (it should sit lower than the other symbols), thus rending it scientifically incorrect.
"I should have googled it before I got it tattooed on my body forever," Lawrence admitted to HitFix.
Watch the actress's adorable explanation below. (And don't worry Jennifer -- it could have been much, much worse.)
