Jennifer Lawrence Auditioned For Emma Stone's Role in 'Easy A'
Getting "Easy A" turned out to be not so easy for Jennifer Lawrence. And friend Emma Stone is #sorrynotsorry.
Lawrence admitted that she auditioned for the lead role in the teen comedy, which went to Stone. In a Hollywood Reporter roundtable interview with six top actresses, Stone revealed that her favorite line as one of her character is "Piss off, Quiznos" from "Easy A."
That led Lawrence to note, "I auditioned for 'Easy A.' I wanted it so bad."
Stone laughed, "Well, guess what? You didn't get it. You didn't get it because you suck!"
"Outside!" Lawrence joked, as if she and Stone should brawl in the street.
It's all in good fun, though, as the two Oscar winners are good friends. As detailed in Vanity Fair, they met when Stone asked her "Zombieland" co-star Woody Harrelson for Lawrence's number (he worked with the latter on "Hunger Games").
Since then, the actresses have been each other's No. 1 fan, even though they go up against each other for roles. As Lawrence joked of supporting Stone during her "La La Land" awards tour, "If I wasn't her biggest fan, I would've Tonya Harding'd her in the kneecaps."
