Jennifer Aniston Fantasizes About 'Friends' Revival, But Would Also Reboot 'Golden Girls'
Now Jennifer Aniston has us fantasizing about a "Friends" meets "Golden Girls" reboot.
Obviously Phoebe would be the Rose. Would Rachel be the Blanche? Monica the Dorothy? Who would be Sophia -- Chandler?
In a new interview with InStyle, Jen (as one calls her) made it clear she's paying close attention to all of the reboots and revivals out there these days -- including NBC's "Will & Grace." Could "Friends" do the same thing? It's something the "Friends" cast members are asked all the time, and since they held out for big pay together they probably wouldn't return without each other. That might be an issue.
Aniston had some fun ideas, though, for what could happen if we all just wait a couple of decades.
Here's what writer Molly McNearney (who is married to Jimmy Kimmel) asked Jennifer Aniston in that little section of their lengthy InStyle Q&A:
MM: What about Friends? Will Friends ever come back?
JA: Before that show ended, people were asking if we were coming back. Courteney [Cox] and Lisa [Kudrow] and I talk about it. I fantasize about it. It really was the greatest job I ever had. I don’t know what it would look like today, but you never know. So many shows are being successfully rebooted. I know Matt LeBlanc doesn’t want to be asked that question anymore. But maybe we could talk him into it. Or we just give it some time and then Lisa, Courteney, and I could reboot 'The Golden Girls' and spend our last years together on wicker furniture.
Don't TEASE us. That's exactly what should happen. There's a Florida lanai out there with your names on it.
