'The Walking Dead' Star Jeffrey Dean Morgan to Return to 'Supernatural' for 300th Episode
A "Supernatural" family reunion is scheduled.
With the CW series approaching its 300th episode, Jeffrey Dean Morgan is partaking in the milestone celebration. The "Walking Dead" actor is set to reprise his role for an upcoming episode, Deadline reports.
Morgan will again play John Winchester, the father of Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles). He has portrayed the character in 12 episodes already, over the course of several seasons. John first appeared in the pilot and he was later killed in Season 2, but his character has still managed to pop in on occasion.
His upcoming return is only a piece of what producers have up their sleeves for the big episode.
"We're incredibly excited to have Jeffrey back for this milestone episode, and think fans will love what we have planned for his character… and a few other surprise guest stars," said Executive Producer Andrew Dabb in a statement, per Deadline.
Morgan continues to star as the violent villain Negan on AMC's "The Walking Dead," but as Dabb says, his guest spot on "Supernatural" will be a nice treat for fans.
The 300th episode is titled "Lebanon," and it airs Thursday, Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
