Jamie Lee Curtis Shares First Photo From Set of New 'Halloween' Movie
There's no place like her "Halloween" home for Jamie Lee Curtis.
The actress is returning to the franchise in David Gordon Green's new "Halloween" movie. She starred in the first film in 1978. She'll reprise her role as Laurie Strode, sister of murderous killer Michael Myers.
She shared the first photo from the set and it features her and Green holding a slate used on John Carpenter's original 40 years ago. You can make out Carpenter's name, as well as cinematographer Dean Cundey.
Unlike that clapperboard, Curtis has a new look in the pic; she's sporting shoulder-length ash-blonde locks, a far cry from her usual pixie cut.
Not much is known about the story for the new "Halloween," other than that Laurie and Michael will be involved. Here is a brief synopsis:
Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago. Master of horror John Carpenter will executive produce and serve as creative consultant on this film, joining forces with cinema's current leading producer of horror, Jason Blum (Get Out, Split, The Purge, Paranormal Activity). Inspired by Carpenter's classic, filmmakers David Gordon Green and Danny McBride crafted a story that carves a new path from the events in the landmark 1978 film, and Green also directs.
"Halloween" opens in theaters October 19.
