James Gunn Hilariously Trolls Guy Posing as Marvel's Kevin Feige
We know "Guardians of the Galaxy" writer/director James Gunn's sense of humor is as rich as his love of '70s Golden Oldies, so when he heard from a guy with an obviously fake Instagram account for Marvel President Kevin Feige, he had some fun with it.
On his Facebook page today, Gunn shared the story, saying, "As I have the maturity of a twelve year old, I decided to troll him."
It began when an IG account called "therealkevinfeige" sent Gunn a message. Instead of calling him out as a fake, Gunn hinted at conversations that only the real Feige would know about, saying, "Did you do that thing we talked about yet? I'm still not 100% sure it's the best idea yet, but, you know..."
The imposter replied he was "busy" and hadn't gotten around to "it" yet, so Gunn added, "You have to admit, it's a pretty bold move." Later, he dropped the bombshell that "beheading [Groot] in the opening scene of Vol. 3 would really take the MCU in a different direction." Bold indeed! (Although wouldn't Groot just be able to regenerate?)
With the imposter stalling for time, Gunn responded: "Dude, are you drunk? I sat next to you at the preview... wait a second, is this not really Kevin? WTF?????"
Gunn also joked that Peter Parker is Venom and that the special guest star in "Black Panther" is Predator!
