J.J. Abrams Confirms No More 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Trailers
Might want to sit down for this news, "Star Wars" fans — that trailer everyone salivated over, dissected to the millisecond, and theorized about is the last one we'll see before "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens on December 18.
Director J.J. Abrams confirmed to Extra TV that "there will be commercials but no more trailers."
He said, "The next thing is really gonna be the movie." (Cue the cries of "nooooooooo!")
That means no more major clues about whether Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) turned to the dark side, who Rey (Daisy Ridley) really is, or how Han Solo (Harrison Ford) manages to get kidnapped ... yet again. We might get a little more footage in TV commercials, but generally, those kind of teasers never reveal much of anything.
Sigh. At least we won't have to tune into "Monday Night Football" again?
