It's Official: Kristen Wiig Joins 'Wonder Woman 2'
Kristen Wiig is Cheetah! Director Patty Jenkins tweeted out the news this morning that the "Bridesmaids" actress will be joining the "Wonder Woman" sequel as the villain.
"So excited to confirm the most thrilling news," Jenkins tweeted. "Yes! It's true! So incredibly lucky to welcome the sensationally talented Kristen Wigg to our Wonder Woman family. Can't wait to finally work with one of my favorites. And SO excited by what we have planned." (And yes, alas, she misspelled Wiig's name.)

While we don't know the plot yet, in the comics Cheetah's schemes included trying to steal Diana's Lasso of Truth.
"Wonder Woman 2" is set to begin production in May in the United Kingdom and hits theaters November 1, 2019.
Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot will both be back, but no confirmation whether we've seen the last of Chris Pine's intrepid pilot Steve Trevor.
