"Pen15" and "Ramy" will be back!

Hulu has renewed the two freshman comedies for a second season. They join Aidy Bryant's "Shrill," which received its renewal two weeks ago. All three shows received glowing reviews from critics.

"Pen15," which debuted in January, will be back for 14 episodes. Co-creators Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle plays 13-year-old versions of themselves as middle school outcasts in the year 2000. The best day of their lives can turn into the worst with the stroke of a gel pen.

"Ramy" debuted in late April and will return for a 10-episode sophomore season. The show centers on first-generation Egyptian-American Ramy Hassan (Ramy Youssef), who is on a spiritual journey in his politically divided New Jersey neighborhood.

Hulu did not announce premiere dates for the second seasons.
