Hugh Jackman Would 'Seriously Consider' Playing James Bond
Do you think Daniel Craig is offended by all this chatter about the next James Bond? He did recently say he wasn't sure he wanted to do another Bond movie after "Spectre," which comes out this November 6, but it's almost like he's already been pushed out the door. Lately all the speculation has been about Idris Elba -- and now Hugh Jackman.
Back when Daniel Craig was cast as the first blond Bond, some fans complained that it should've been Hugh Jackman. Well, the Australian hunk told the TV show "The Program" that he was approached for the role but he was busy. "At the time, I was just about to do 'X-Men 2,' and I was like, 'Ah, I don't think it's the right time.'" However, the "Wolverine" star isn't closing the door on playing 007, adding, "I'd seriously consider it."
Great news, but now we have potentially too many Bonds on the field. There's Daniel Craig, who at age 47 is still officially in the role; Idris Elba, 43, who has recently seen a big surge in fan support; and Jackman, 46, who may finally have time to play the role some fans saw him in a few years back. Plus, UK bookies have thrown Damian Lewis's name out there, giving Ginger Bond higher odds even than Elba, Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill or Michael Fassbender. And if Daniel Craig officially retires a dozen more names will surely be added to the mix.
Who would you like to see as the next James Bond?
