Jacob Tremblay is a scene-stealer in the critically acclaimed Lenny Abrahamson-directed drama "Room" - and the 9-year-old star dished to Made In Hollywood on his success secrets.
"I have a few cousins [who] are younger than me, so, I play with them a lot, and they play, like, they jump around a lot, so I was like, maybe if I jump around a lot, that's how I could be a 5-year-old," Tremblay said, of playing someone several years younger.
But more than anything, the superstar-in-the-making credits his parents for helping him get ahead in his field.
"My mom and dad, they know how to explain dark stuff to a kid, so, they explained it to me in a good way for a kid to understand," Tremblay said of how he understood the dramatic film premise of being abducted with his on-screen mother, played by Brie Larson. "My mom and dad, they're actually really good coaches. I wouldn't be doing this without them, you know? And I'm really happy that I get to have them."

As for how the adorable little one got his start in the biz? He credits a different family member.
"My sister likes going up on stages and doing talent," Tremblay said. "When she was doing a commercial, one of the directors of it said [I was] such a cute baby! [He said] I should do some Fisher-Price commercials. So I did that, and then I said, 'I want to keep on doing this!' So I kept on doing it, and then I got a few TV shows, and then I finally got a first movie called 'Smurfs II.' And that was really fun, so I decided to keep on doing acting, and that's how I got into the acting thing."
It's a hard job, but Tremblay is happy to do it, saying energetically, "I'm really happy that my parents are letting me do this thing, and I'm really proud of myself."
