Henry Cavill and Luke Evans have been tapped to star opposite Nicholas Hoult in the forthcoming war drama "Sand Castle," Variety reports.

The film follows Hoult as the lead Matt Core, an American who is faced with a hostile situation in Iraq while trying to repair a broken water system. He and his men have to soothe tensions in a Baghdad village ahead of the situation escalating.

"Sand Castle" is inspired by screenwriter Chris Roessner's experience as a machine gunner in Iraq.

Cavill recently appeared in "The Man From U.N.C.L.E" and will reprise his role as the Man of Steel in the forthcoming "Superman V. Batman" movie. Evans appeared last in "Furious 7" and stars in thriller "High-Rise." Hoult is featured in indie crime-comedy "Kill Your Friends."
