Exclusive Trailer and Poster for Action Thriller ‘Head Rush’
It’s the latest movie from Vietnamese American director Victor Vu, who has made the likes of ‘Dreamy Eyes’ and ‘The Immortal’.
Usually when you have a character dealing with a terminal illness there’s a lot of drama about facing their fate and their family getting used to the idea.
Not so much with ‘Head Rush’, the new movie Victor Vu, the Vietnamese American director of films such as ‘Dreamy Eyes’ and ‘The Immortal’. We have an exclusive look at the trailer and poster for the film.
In ‘Head Rush’, we’re introduced to Tam, played by Cuong Seven (who also worked with Vu on ‘The Immortal’), whose doctor informs him he has a terminal illness. But he also suggests a radical, experimental medical treatment, which involves transplanting his head onto a different body.
The risky procedure is a success, but our hero soon discovers that the body on which his head now sits belonged to a man named Nghia, who had quite the set of martial arts and other skills. Which Tam/Nghia then puts to good use by helping people.
Of course, there’s also a drawback––the origins of the treatment are intertwined in a dark history that becomes entangled in his life and puts his family at risk, with gangsters and corrupt cops on his trail.
All that, of course, is the spur for some intense fight scenes and stunt work.
The cast for this one also includes Tran Thi Nha Phuong and Ngoc Anh Vu, while the eye-popping action scenes were choreographed by Vincent Wang, who as well working on ‘The Immortal’ is a veteran of Marvel movies such as ‘Doctor Strange’ and ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’.
‘Head Rush’ will be available digitally from December 27th.
