Haunting 'Crimson Peak' Trailer Promises Highbrow Horror This Halloween
"Ghosts are real, that much I know..." so begins the new trailer for director Guillermo del Toro's supernatural mystery, "Crimson Peak." The atmospheric horror film has perfectly timed its release for October 16, 2015. Nothin' like a creepy haunted house on Halloween!
There's a "Jane Eyre" meets "Rebecca" and Coppola's "Dracula" vibe to the movie, which stars Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston, and Charlie Hunnam. That's quite a cast (Jessica + Tom = Must Watch Opening Night), and with del Toro behind the camera, we're expecting the best kind of haute horror. What's the movie about? Here's the summary from Universal and Legendary Pictures: "When her heart is stolen by a seductive stranger, a young woman is swept away to a house atop a mountain of blood-red clay: a place filled with secrets that will haunt her forever. Between desire and darkness, between mystery and madness, lies the truth behind Crimson Peak." That flowery synopsis could give you the vapors on its own!
Tom Hiddleston, though. And Jessica Chastain. Just watch them as sexy, sinister siblings in this trailer. It's worth moving into a haunted (and probably deadly) house just to spend more time with them.
