'Harry Potter' Actor in ICU: He Broke His Neck & 15 Ribs in Major Car Accident
"Harry Potter" fans, please send your healing magic to actor/comedian Jim Tavaré, who played Tom the Leaky Cauldron inkeeper in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban." He was last said to be in intensive care, preparing for surgery after a serious head-on collision car accident.
Tavaré's wife Laura updated on the actor's status on Tuesday, March 7:
Scary! There were no other details on the accident, and we've yet to see any updates on his surgery, but his Facebook timeline is now filled with photos, memories, and best wishes.
The British actor and comedian, trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in England, has 44 acting credits on his IMDb resume -- including seven episodes of "The Jim Tavare Show" and 16 episodes of "The Sketch Show" -- but the second you join the Potter family, you are known for that for life. It's not a bad fate.
Tavaré has several 2017 roles listed as "completed" or in "post-production," so here's hoping he has a swift recovery and gets back to doing what he loves -- serving butterbeer. And also acting!
