That 'Grey's Anatomy' Spinoff Has a Premiere Date, But Still Not a Title
Well, this is a little unusual: ABC has revealed the premiere date for its "Grey's Anatomy" firefighter spinoff, but the network still hasn't settled on a title for the series.
ABC made the date official on Monday, as "Scandal" back to 10 p.m. for its last four weeks.
As for the show's title, though, ABC President Channing Dungey admitted during a TCA event later on Monday that they've been struggling on that score.
"The truth of the matter is coming up with a title is one of the most challenging things we do," Dungey said, according to EW. "We've gone through a number of different options and ideas. We want to make sure what we stick on it is the perfect piece."
Two options that are definitely off the table are "Seattle Fire" because of its similarity to "Chicago Fire" and the very punny "Blaze Anatomy." The network plans to have a name for us in the next few weeks, and we look forward to hearing it. Although, really, ABC -- not "Blaze Anatomy"?
