'Grey's Anatomy' Season 13 Has an Entire Episode Set on a Plane
"Grey's Anatomy" is giving fans another episode with the word "flight" involved, which should already make you nervous. (Little Grey, we haven't forgotten you!)
According to TVLine, Season 13 "is about to go into production on an episode set entirely onboard a commercial airliner as a crisis unfolds mid-flight."
A fan had asked about the possibility of Sara Ramirez returning as Callie, so that's how she ended up in this next part:
"It's not clear which of the docs will be on the manifest when said emergency erupts, but given Callie and Arizona's shared, bi-coastal custody arrangement with Sofia, it seemed like a perfect opportunity to bring Ramirez back for a kickass standalone episode. Sadly, a source close to the actress tells me there are no current plans for her to return. Still, sounds like it'll be a cool, emotionally fraught episode, especially considering what went down four years ago."
What went down four years ago, in the Season 8 finale, was the episode called "Flight," following a plane crash in the woods, with the main characters fighting to stay alive. Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh) ended up being trapped and dying. Let's just hope we don't see anything like that again.
"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on ABC. The winter finale, which sounds pretty intense, airs November 17, and that will be it until the 2017 midseason premiere.
