'Gifted' Star Mckenna Grace Headlining 'Annabelle 3'
Mckenna Grace, whose films include "Gifted" and "I, Tonya," will star in the third, as-yet-untitled "Annabelle" film.
The 12-year-old will play Judy, the daughter of psychic investigators the Warrens. According to Deadline, two of Judy's babysitters will also figure prominently in the plot.
Gary Dauberman, who wrote the scripts for "It" and "The Nun," wrote the screenplay and will make his directorial debut with the sixth film in the "Conjuring" universe.
At Comic-Con, he told Deadline, "It really picks up with the Warrens bringing Annabelle to the place where it can no longer wreak havoc, which is their artifact room. But, of course, it turns out she can also wreak havoc there."
James Wan described it as "'Night At The Museum' with Annabelle," which leads us to suspect that more haunted objects than Annabelle will come into play.
It's not confirmed yet whether Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson will reprise their roles as Lorraine and Ed Warren.
Judy was played by now 14-year-old Sterling Jerins in "The Conjuring" and "The Conjuring 2."
The movie starts shooting next month for a release date of July 3, 2019.
Grace also stars in the upcoming Netflix horror series "The Haunting of Hill House" and plays the young Carol Danvers in "Captain Marvel."
