Get Your First Look at Commissioner Gordon in 'Justice League'
Director Zack Snyder is on the "homestretch" of "Justice League" filming, and that may be why he's being more generous with his set tweets. The other day, he shared a look at Ben Affleck's Batman in his Tactical Batsuit, and followed up with two photos by the Bat-Signal in honor of #BatmanDay.
Snyder's first photo was just of himself, but he followed that with a look at J.K. Simmons as the new Commissioner Gordon in "Justice League":

Several fans commented on the fidelity to the comic book, including this guy:

Actor J.K. Simmons has been putting in serious gym time, getting impressively jacked, although he said it's not specifically for "Justice League." Still, Gordon may just happen to be as muscled as Superman under that trench coat.
Simmons is no stranger to superhero films, even if this is his first time in the DCEU. In an interview with Collider, Simmons compared his Gordon with his character of J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" films:
"There are easy comparisons to make. I wasn't a big comic book reading kid, so I did a fair amount of reading when I was playing Jameson, who was very much the comic relief in those movies. Even in the comics, he was a blowhard who was all bark and very rarely bite. My understanding, from what I've learned so far about Commissioner Gordon, is that he's the older guy with the mustache who relates with our hero in a certain way. Other than that, it's a vastly different character and much more of a stronger, impactful character in the DC universe."
"Justice League" is scheduled for release November 17th, 2017.
