Oh, and you know, two bigger, badder, even more insane battles than seen in seasons past.
HBO released another behind-the-scenes video, this one featuring special effects supervisor Sam Conway, who talks us through some of the process of making the show look as fearsome, gruesome, and awesome as it does.
"We handle gas, we handle water, we handle wind, we handle smoke, we handle pyrotechnics, engineering," Conway says, adding with a laugh, "blood, snot."
The video mostly uses footage from Season 6, but there are glimpses of two big battles from Season 7 — one on land, one at sea. Conway and team simulate fire on board ships and prepare a fire-ravaged battlefield (has Daenerys and Drogon been making a tour of Westeros?).
"Game of Thrones" premieres July 16 on HBO.
