'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Had Another Celebrity Cameo in 'The Spoils of War'
Some "Game of Thrones" fans joked that Ed Sheeran just got Dracarys-ed in Season 7, Episode 4, "The Spoils of War," but it turns out a different celebrity was in the field as a Lannister soldier.
The Mets pitcher Noah "Thor" Syndergaard isn't a household name for everyone, but he got to live the dream as a spear-throwing soldier in that epic Dothraki & Drogon battle:

To my sides defense....they had a FRICKEN DRAGON!!! ????????????
At least I didn't throw behind him.— Noah Syndergaard (@Noahsyndergaard) August 7, 2017
Syndergaard had previewed his GoT cameo in an April talk with Sports Illustrated: "It's a dream come true. I think it's the greatest TV show of all time, so just to be able to say I was in 'Game of Thrones' is an unbelievable feeling."
Fans aren't always happy with celebrity cameos, but this one wasn't distracting -- even his own fans may not have recognized him in the melee of the battle -- so it didn't send Twitter into a rage.
If you missed that cameo, you may have also missed a couple of early season callbacks, so check those out, and prepare to watch the fallout in Episode 5, "Eastwatch."
