Jon Snow Will Be Back for More 'Game of Thrones'
"You know nothing, Jon Snow." Especially about what not to say in interviews.
While promoting his new film, "Testament of Youth," Game of Thrones."
After talking with the magazine about the challenges that come with being attached to a TV show in terms of having to pass on other opportunities, Harington said: "The important thing is that I now know exactly how long I am still under contract."
The interviewer probed further, asking just how many more seasons that will be.
"Nice try," Harington laughed. "I can't talk about that. Let's just say that 'Game of Thrones' will remain a part of my life for a while; I'll probably be in my thirties when it's over."
Harington turns 28 this December, so we can infer from this interview that he will be with the show at least through it's final season -- which is expected to be Season 8.
Harington's comments come after a summer spent sorting through reports of sightings of the actor on set in Belgium -- and in public, sporting his Snow hairstyle and beard. Now the question is: How will Snow be resurrected, after dying an especially stabby death in last season's finale?
The popular theory is that he will be brought back with help from the God of Light's number one fan, Melisandre. Flashbacks and Weirwood visions also hold potential.
We'll find out when Season 6 airs in early 2016.
