'Game of Thrones' Fans Expect Arya & Nymeria Reunion in Episode 2
Grab a box of tissues for "Game of Thrones" Season 7, Episode 2: If Arya Stark reunites with Nymeria, you'll be wiping away some tears; if there is no direwolf reunion, just throw the box at the screen.
Fairly or not, the promo for Episode 2, "Stormborn," now has fans convinced Arya (Maisie Williams) will reunite with her long-long direwolf in the Sunday, July 23 episode:Some fans saw the wolf and thought it might be Nymeria, whom we haven't seen since Season 1. However, as Insider pointed out, that wolf is probably just be a wolf, possibly a member of Nymeria's wolf pack, if she's leading one out there.

It's possible -- we haven't seen the episode before anyone else, so it's all guesswork -- that Arya heads north for home, inspired by that meeting with the Lannister soldiers to go to Winterfell instead of killing the queen, and she's confronted by wolves. If Nymeria is leading those wolves, maybe she will save Arya and we'll get some kind of reunion.
Would Nymeria be happy to see Arya, or feel betrayed that she was sent away, even if it ended up saving her life? There were already little hints suggesting an Arya/Nymeria reunion this season, but now we're expecting to see it on July 23, and we'll be disappointed if we were somehow led astray.
"Game of Thrones" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO.
