'Game of Thrones' Fans Mock 'Emo Bran' After Awkward Sansa Stark Reunion
"Game of Thrones" is poised to bring Arya Stark back to Winterfell in Season 7, Episode 4, and let's hope that reunion is less painfully awkward than what poor Sansa endured with Bran in Episode 3.
Fans wanted another Stark reunion after the success (for the most part) of Sansa + Jon, and the fail of Sansa + Jon + Rickon. They got a reunion in Sansa + Bran, but it was a definite sad trombone. The full band may get together when Arya shows up and Jon eventually returns, but when Bran arrived at Winterfell in "The Queen's Justice," he was ... different. So much has happened to Bran since he was pushed off the tower by Jaime Lannister, and now he is the wise, world-weary Three-Eyed Raven. He's certainly not a kid anymore. He's barely human. So his reunion with Sansa was actually more emotional for Sansa -- and the viewers -- than Bran himself, who seemed like he couldn't be bothered.
More than that, Bran demonstrated his vast powers by casually mentioning what Sansa was wearing to her please-never-mention-this-again wedding to Ramsay Bolton. Sansa seemed creeped out by that mood-breaking reveal, and quickly exited to do other things.
So, not the happiest reunion. But at least fans had some fun roasting this new emotionless Bran.

It's clear Bran's Speech skill isn't high and he'll suffer for his poor dialogue choices in the most recent episode of #GameOfThrones : pic.twitter.com/Jiz1Uv9Gu9

Bran Stark came back to Winterfell like every kid after their first semester away at college.

The Starks already deserve a page on AwkwardFamilyPhotos.com, and things will probably just get more awkward when Arya/No One shows up. Season 7 continues with Episode 4, "The Spoils of War," on Sunday, August 6 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
