When it comes to family Christmas flicks, Gabrielle Union says: bring it on.

The actress will headline "A Meyers Christmas," which tells the story of estranged family members reunited over the Christmas holiday following the death of their matriarch, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film was originally set to a Thanksgiving theme with the title "A Meyers Thanksgiving."

Union will also executive produce the project, which will be written and directed by "Baggage Claim" scribe-director David E. Talbert.

The "Bring It On" star currently plays the titular character on BET's "Being Mary Jane," of which its third season begins Oct. 20, and last appeared on the big screen last year in Chris Rock's "Take Five."
