The First 'Halloween' Photos Are Here, Just Before Official Trailer Premiere
He's baaaaack.
Michael Myers returns for the 40th anniversary of the 1978 original "Halloween" in the 2018 horror movie of the same name. Jamie Lee Curtis is also back as scream queen Laurie Strode.
The first official trailer is coming out this Friday, June 8. A few days in advance, USA Today shared the first photos from the movie.
This time, Curtis told USA Today, Laurie won't be "running for her life." Instead:
"[S]he is well-matched, she is prepared, she is focused. She will be the one people are standing behind when that moment comes, because she's the one ready."
Damn right. Apparently Laurie had been, um, vocal about her past with Michael Myers -- to the point that no one around her wanted to hear more about it:
"It becomes a little bit 'The British are coming!' and everybody just gets tired of it. It's the girl who cried Michael, and they're all like, 'Oh, my God, Laurie, shut the (expletive) up.' And that's why I like where we find her."
The new film includes Laurie's daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak). They, too, are very aware of her past.
Director David Gordon Green added:
"We're being very honest and truthful about that, how it would affect the upbringing of her daughter, who has a lot of conflicts because of her mother's obsession with this incident, and her granddaughter, who's trying to connect."

Here's a brief synopsis of the film:
"Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago."
On Wednesday, the official account shared a teaser for the trailer:
