Eugenio Derbez: How to Slap a Latin Lover

The new comedy "How To Be A Latin Lover" is so funny it hurts.

Just ask star Eugenio Derbez, who's slapped numerous times by Salma Hayek, who plays the sister of his aging and clueless gigolo.

Hayek claimed the key to a perfect comedic movie slap is to scoop up and hit, making it look more painful that it really is. Derbez disagreed.

"There's no trick!" insisted Debez. "She really hit me in a mean and hard way."

To resolve the debate, Derbez agreed to let Made in Hollywood reporter Kylie Erica Mar demonstrate the Hayek technique on him.

With an upward movement, Mar planted one on the back on his head.

"Oh, my god!" said Derbez.

"I really hurt you?" asked Mar.

Well ... then Derbez flashed a goofy smile. "You did nothing," he said -- unlike Hayek. "She really hit me!"
