'Empire' Season 2 Gets Premiere Date, Upped Episode Count
Ask and you shall receive. An "Empire" fan wrote to actress Taraji P. Henson, asking when Season 2 would premiere, and she just helpfully tweeted this note:

Bring it, Cookie! It can be tough for freshmen series to find their footing, but "Empire" was an instant hit for FOX. The Season 1 finale ended with about 16.7 million viewers and a massive 6.5 rating/20 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic. As TheWrap noted, "Empire" will expand from 12 episodes to 18 for the 2015-2016 season, with the episodes split into two cycles. It'll retain its Wednesdays at 9 p.m. timeslot.
