Emma Roberts will star as a holiday-hating singleton in the Netflix romantic comedy "Holidate."

John Whitesell ("Malibu’s Most Wanted") is directing, with Tiffany Paulsen ("Adventures in Babysitting") writing the script.

The premise: She and a single guy pledge to be each other's plus-ones for one year get through those awkward family holiday get-togethers. Will true love ensue? Does Santa like cookies and milk?

The role of the single guy has yet to be cast. Actors, call your agents! Get in on this.

Roberts was most recently seen as Madison Montgomery on "American Horror Story: Apocalypse." She also voices Wedgehead  in the upcoming animated film "UglyDolls."

Her most recent romcom was the undercooked "Little Italy."
