Edward Burns Will Star in And Produce An 'Amazing Stories' Episode
Missed the short-lived Edward Burns period cop series "Public Morals"? The actor will be back in a similar role in an upcoming episode of Steven Spielberg's "Amazing Stories" revival for Apple.
Burns will play a government agent named Bill Kaminski and also executive-produce the episode.
Mark Mylod ("Game of Thrones") will direct and Austin Stowell ("Bridge of Spies") and Kerry Bishé ("Halt and Catch Fire") will costar.
Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment executive-produced "Public Morals," which Burns wrote, directed and starred in on TNT. Burns was also, in case you forgot, in Spielberg's WWII epic "Saving Private Ryan."
The original "Amazing Stories" ran on NBC from 1985- 1987. Although short-lived, it won five Emmys, including one for guest actor John Lithgow and a directing nomination for Spielberg for the episode "The Mission."
"Once Upon a Time" creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz are the showrunners of the reboot.
