Grumpy has a new look.

Eddie Murphy is set to star in a remake of "Grumpy Old Men" directed by Tim Story ("Ride Along").

The 1993 original movie featured Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau as rival neighbors whose feud escalates when an attractive woman (Ann-Margret) moves across the street.  It was a hit, grossing $70 million spawning a sequel, 1995's "Grumpier Old Men."

Warner Bros. and New Line have slowly been remaking or reimagining older titles, like the recent all-female "Ocean's 8" and the new take on "It." New Line is also working with Story on a remake of "Shaft" with Samuel L. Jackson (who is being considered for the other role in "Grumpy Old Men").

And Murphy is no stranger to remakes, having starred in his versions of "Dr. Doolittle" and "The Nutty Professor."
