'Die Hard 6' in the Works, Director Reveals Title
"Die Hard" refuses to die.
Deadline reports that 20th Century Fox is developing a sixth "Die Hard" movie, with "Live Free and Die Hard" director Len Wiseman returning to helm it.
"Die Hard 6" would be a prequel/reboot, and even has a title, which Wiseman tweeted:

"Die Hard: Year One" would be mostly set in 1979, when McClane was a young cop on the gritty streets of New York. There's room for Bruce Willis to return in bookending scenes as the older McClane, but the movie's lead would be a younger actor. Sounds similar to how Joseph Gordon-Levitt played a younger version of Willis in "Looper."
The last film in the franchise, 2013's "A Good Day to Die Hard," grossed over $300 million worldwide, despite less-than-stellar reception from critics and fans. It seems John McClane is going to be very hard to get rid of.
