'Dancing With the Stars': Maks Is Back, Amber Rose, Ryan Lochte Rumored
Maksim Chmerkovskiy is back -- again! Pro dancer Maks had quit "Dancing With the Stars" after Season 15, then returned as a guest judge, then returned as a pro to win Season 18 with Meryl Davis, then returned as a guest judge again. Now he's confirmed to be back for this fall's Season 23 -- which premieres September 12 -- and it looks like he'll be dancing with Amber Rose:

There are also rumors that Ryan Lochte may be joining the fall 2016 season, as an attempt to rehabilitate his image after he humiliated himself and the rest of the country down in Rio. But that rumor may be "over-exaggerated." We'll see. JoJo Fletcher of "The Bachelorette" and Jake T. Austin of "The Fosters" have also been rumored as cast members. @DWTSGossip has been following the rumors and shared talk of Terra Jolé of "Little Women: LA" possibly joining the show, too.
In terms of pros, in addition to Maks, we have his brother Val Chmerkovskiy, Witney Carson, Sasha Farber, Emma Slater, Allison Holker, Sharna Burgess, Lindsay Arnold, Artem Chigvintsev, and Gleb Savchenko, so far. Kym Johnson, Karina Smirnoff, and the pregnant Peta Murgatroyd are all out this season. Peta and Maks are planning a summer 2017 wedding, so maybe he felt one of them should be working on DWTS, since they have a wedding to plan and a baby to feed.
Also, it sounds like at least one Hough may be returning to the ballroom:
