"Dancing With the Stars" Season 19 winner Alfonso Ribeiro clarified his "edited" comments about new Season 25 winner Jordan Fisherafter strong backlash from fans.

"The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" alum won DWTS in Fall 2014, with pro partner Witney Carson. Alfonso is a regular in the DWTS audience, and got to perform again on Season 25 in a Trio dance with Witney's Fall 2017 partner,Frankie Muniz.

Season 25 came down to three finalists: Jordan and Lindsay Arnold (winners); Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas (second place);and Frankie and Witney (third place). During Monday's Finals Night 1, Alfonso was shown critiquing Jordan -- the top-scoring dancer of the season -- saying he could use a slice of humble pie.

Fans were shocked by the comment, especially from someone as proud and confident as Alfonso:

Alfonso took to Instagram to explain, saying he just watched the DWTS broadcast and saw people were "condemning" him on social media for his edited comments. He posted a video apology/clarification, with this caption tagging both Jordan and his pro partner Lindsay:

"@jordan_fisher @dancingabc my words were taken out of context. This was edited. Please accept my apology for allowing them to only show a piece of what I felt. You are amazing. @lindsarnold"

"Let me start by saying, before I made that comment, I actually said that Jordan was the best dancer that this show has ever seen. Everybody will say he's the best, me included. I owe you an apology, Jordan, 'cause that's not what I meant. You are a fantastic human being who has become such a wonderful person that we've now gotten to see fully on this show. You have nothing but heart. You have triumphed this year, and I am proud to have seen what you have been able to do on this dance floor. I owe you an apology 'cause that's not how I meant it. You are the best this show has ever seen."

DWTS fans are used to producer manipulation and heavily edited video packages. However, Alfonso didn't really explain why he said that "humble pie" comment if it's not what he meant.

We don't know if Alfonso's comment had any impact on voters' actions before the Tuesday, Nov. 21 finale.

DWTS is now on a once-a-year format after Season 25, so Season 26 won't premiere until Fall 2018. However, Tom Bergeron announced a special four-week all-athletes version of DWTS in Spring 2018.
