'Creed 2' Adds Romanian Boxer as Ivan Drago's Son
"Rocky's" next generation will continue to duke it out in "Creed 2."
Sylvester Stallone confirmed a report that Romanian boxer Florian Munteanu (nickname: Big Nasty) has been cast as Ivan Drago's son opposite Michael B. Jordan's Adonis Creed in the upcoming sequel. Dolph Lundgren is already set to reprise his role as Ivan.
Stephen Caple Jr. takes over from Ryan Coogler in directing the follow-up, which continues to track Adonis as he follows in father Apollo's footsteps in the ring. It seems he'll run up against the formidable hulk Drago's son, who's also taking up the mantle from his dad. And since it was Drago who killed Apollo, a revenge match featuring the sons seems inevitable.
"Creed 2" is slated to hit theaters November 21.
