'Close' Trailer Stars Noomi Rapace as Lethal Bodyguard
Surviving is no easy feat in "Close."
Netflix unveiled a trailer for the upcoming action flick on Thursday, Jan. 3, and there's danger everywhere for the bodyguard protagonist and her client. The two women, Sam (Noomi Rapace) and Zoe (Sophie Nélisse), end up in peril after Zoe's father dies and she inherits shares in his company. She hires Sam as her bodyguard, and as the preview shows, she absolutely needs one.
The exact threat isn't revealed in the trailer, but the scale of it is huge and unceasing. At one point, the women appear to be under the protection of the police, only for Sam to realize they're still in jeopardy. Luckily, she's tough, and she takes on one person -- or group of people -- after the next in the action-packed preview.
The film isn't just about survival, though; it's also about Sam and Zoe's bond. Watch below.
The film was written and directed by Vicky Jewson.
"Close" premieres Jan. 18 on Netflix.
