Christina Applegate: I Got Cold, Wet and Muddy for Comedy in 'Vacation'

Christina Applegate found that starring in "Vacation" means having to do almost anything for a laugh.
"We had to do so much physical stuff that was uncomfortable," she tells Made in Hollywood. "So it wasn’t like we were sitting around with a bunch of funny people just riffing. We’re like wet. We’re like muddy. We’re cold."
One uncomfortable scene, for instance, had Applegate and the rest of the Griswold family -- Ed Helms, Skyler Gisondo, Steele Stebbins -- sloshing around in what they thought was a mineral spring but was in fact a stinky dump site with a sign marked "Danger Raw Sewage."
"I don’t get offended by anything, really," says Applegate, who got her start in TV's boundaries-pushing "Married ... With Children." "I get offended by things that are happening in the world right now, people’s strange opinions of other people. I don’t like that. I’m offended by those things. But I’m not offended by language or by silly circumstances."
"Vacation" opens Wednesday. Watch the trailer below:
